Trip 6 of our headwaters to impoundment series carries us along the Little Tennessee River from the cliff swallows of Iotla to the cliff swallows of Rose Creek / Oak Grove.
In between, we’ll encounter perhaps the most storied section of all - Cowee town, where roughly 10,000 years of human history has taken place, with evidence of prehistoric life and where biodiversity begins to flourish in the watershed. Approximately 7 miles.1PM-5PM. Lots of fun. Some kayaking experience is beneficial.
